Area doctors use expertise to attack patients' high cholesterol.

Nov. 12--Two local physicians are among only five in the state to become board-certified in the treatment of patients with the most resistant cases of high cholesterol. The specialty, known as lipidology, aims to help those patients avoid heart attacks and strokes. Dr. Billy Arant, who works in Erlanger hospital's Hypertension Management Center, and Dr. John Wood, who is in private practice at Beacon Health Alliance Associates in Internal Medicine, said they are wellpositioned to practice the specialty in Chattanooga.
