The North Colonie junior who has said previously that he wants to remove a liberal magazine from high school shelves has altered his stance.
Michael Elmendorf, 16, said Monday that it would be a good idea to take Progressive magazine out of the library, but it would be a better idea to leave the magazine and remove the advertising from inside it.
The teenager wants the magazine out because he and more than 100 other students found certain classified advertisements objectionable. They include those advertising for the "anarchist cookbook," "free marijuana," "women loving women," "proof Jesus is fictional" and …
