NSW: Aussie charged with stalking Hingis at Miami tournament

A man who claims he is romantically involved with women's tennis number one MARTINA
HINGIS says she would NOT deny their relationship if she was standing next to him.

Carrying an Australian passport, 45-year-old DUBRAVKO RAJCEVIC was arrested and charged
with stalking the 19-year-old star whilst in Miami for the Ericsson Open.

Told by a Channel 10 news crew that HINGIS has denied knowing him, RAJCEVIC said they
were wrong and he also claimed to be romantically linked to her but refused to give details.

He made his comments outside the Miami County Jail.

HINGIS' mother and coach MELANIE MOLITOR have told police RAJCEVIC has been following
HINGIS and sending her letters.

RAJCEVIC describes the letters as supportive and says MARTINA is enjoying his letters
and feeding off his positive energy.

HINGIS declined to comment, but MOLITOR says RAJCEVIC has followed HINGIS at other tournaments.

Police says he was told on Wednesday to stay away from HINGIS' tournaments, but spotted
at the tournament again on Thursday and arrested.

He was formally charged with stalking and trespass after warning, but was released
today on $A1,600 bond.
